NBN in Jane Brook
I’VE always been an active member of the Midland community HAVING BEEN INVOLVED IN:
Volunteered for many years at Woodbridge Primary School, and La Salle College.
Helping to organize local community events such as the Midland Community Carols, the Cale Street Festival, Fridays at the LoCale, the Curds & WAy Cheese Festival, and WA Cheese Week.
Participating in local community group activities, including seedling and tree planting in Jane Brook, Woodbridge, Guildford, and Midland.
Served as a founding member of the Town Team - Midland Junction Collective.
As a member of the Governor Stirling School Board.
Having owned and operated several small businesses in Midland and the Swan Valley, I understand the real challenges faced by small businesses. As a working single parent for many years, I have firsthand experience navigating the cost of living hardships that many families and single-person households encounter while trying to make ends meet.
I was elected to the City of Swan in 2021. Over my 3 + years on council as a Midland/Guildford ward councillor, I have consistently listened to and supported the community on the issues that impact them, supported the needs of local businesses, advocated for the protection of the built heritage of the Midland area, pushed for better environmental protection and have not supported wasteful spending on projects that don’t have community support. I sit on the City of Swan Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) committee.
