your independent candidate for midland

‘‘It’s time we put real people back into politics and had our voices heard’’

Over the time I’ve been door knocking and meeting with the community, you’ve told me you’re tired of feeling ignored. You want an elected State Member who will speak up and address the issues you’ve raised.

concerns you have shared with me include:

  • The closure of Robinson Rd

  • The closure of Helena St Crossing

  • The new Cale St Crossing

  • The Scott St intersection with Great Eastern Hwy

  • The Impacts of Development WA on Midland

  • Issues concerning the new Midland Train Station

  • Heritage Protection

  • Main Roads’ poor road planning adding to the traffic chaos in Midland

  • Hospital nursing staffing increased

  • Protection for our environment

  • Protection for our rivers and waterways

  • Habitat loss for the remaining Black Cockatoo populations

  • Urban canopy and loss of mature trees

  • Improved policing and safety

  • The impact of the Movida noise wall on existing suburbs

  • The Midland Area is not thriving

  • Street present homelessness

  • Cost of living pressures

  • Por public transport

  • Morrison Rd grade separation

  • Extension of the rail line to Bellevue

  • Rerouting of the freight line out of Midland

  • NBN in Jane Brook

I’VE always been an active member of the Midland community HAVING BEEN INVOLVED IN:

  • Volunteered for many years at Woodbridge Primary School, and La Salle College.

  • Helping to organize local community events such as the Midland Community Carols, the Cale Street Festival, Fridays at the LoCale, the Curds & WAy Cheese Festival, and WA Cheese Week.

  • Participating in local community group activities, including seedling and tree planting in Jane Brook, Woodbridge, Guildford, and Midland.

  • Served as a founding member of the Town Team - Midland Junction Collective.

  • As a member of the Governor Stirling School Board.

Having owned and operated several small businesses in Midland and the Swan Valley, I understand the real challenges faced by small businesses. As a working single parent for many years, I have firsthand experience navigating the cost of living hardships that many families and single-person households encounter while trying to make ends meet.

I was elected to the City of Swan in 2021. Over my 3 + years on council as a Midland/Guildford ward councillor, I have consistently listened to and supported the community on the issues that impact them, supported the needs of local businesses, advocated for the protection of the built heritage of the Midland area, pushed for better environmental protection and have not supported wasteful spending on projects that don’t have community support. I sit on the City of Swan Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) committee.

meetings in the park

My team and I held a series of ‘Meetings in the Park’ for Jane Brook, Stratton, Koongania, Helena Valley, Boya, Greenmount, Swan View, Middle Swan, Midvale, Midland, Guildford, Woodbridge and Caversham.

It was great to listen to the things that concern you and to exchange ideas.

When elected I will hold monthly ‘Listen & Share’ sessions where I can meet with the community, listen to what they want to tell me and share what’s been happening in Parliament.

People have asked me where will my preferences go.

Well, that will depend on where you put them on the ballot paper. I am seeking your primary Vote 1 and won’t ask you to fill out the ballot paper in any particular order other than ensuring that every box is marked 1-8. I want you to make your own informed decision about where you want the preferences to go. You can view the candidates How To Vote Cards on the button below.

In the words of Paul Kelly and Kev Carmody; “From little things, big things grow. ” The seeds have been planted, let’s make it happen.

It’s time to take back Midland and let community voices be heard.
